Sustainability Forum

2023

On September 21, Deutsche Bahn's Sustainabiliy Forum 2023 took place in the French Cathedral at Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin. In addition to around 300 guests on site, numerous spectators were once again connected via livestream.

At the Sustainability Forum, decision-makers from politics, business, civil society and science discuss current issues of sustainable management. The guiding question of the event is:

How can we continue to advance sustainability even in times of crisis?

In addition, the 8th Fahrtziel Natur-Award was presented. Fahrtziel Natur is a cooperation of BUND, NABU, VCD and Deutsche Bahn. The award recognizes the commitment to linking sustainable tourism and environmentally friendly mobility in Fahrtziel Natur areas.

Deutsche Bahn was represented by Werner Gatzer, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Dr. Richard Lutz, Chairman of the Management Board, Berthold Huber, Member of the Management Board for Infrastructure, Dr. Daniela Gerd tom Markotten, Member of the Management Board for Digitalization and Technology, Stefanie Berk, Executive Board Member DB Fernverkehr, Andreas Gehlhaar, Head of Sustainability, and Max-Christian Lange, Deputy Head of Sustainability.

Sustainability Forum 2022

In view of the anniversary of the groundbreaking Club of Rome report, the Sustainability Forum on October 6 was held under the motto "50 years of 'Limits to Growth' – How do we achieve sustainable prosperity?"

Umweltforum 2021

On October 7, numerous decision-makers from politics, business, civil society and science discussed current challenges and developments in sustainable mobility in Berlin.

Umweltforum 2019
