Deutsche Bahn is in close and regular exchange with its stakeholders – and with everyone interested in sustainable mobility. An open dialogue on key sustainability issues is a matter of course for DB. Examples include the Sustainability Forum and DB's involvement in various networks.

    Platforms for sustainable mobility

Since 2019, DB's Sustainability Forum has brought together decision-makers from politics, business, civil society, and academia to discuss current questions of sustainable business practices. Panel guests in recent years have included top DAX CEOs, representatives of the federal government, the heads of several environmental associations, as well as members of DB's Supervisory Board and Management Board.

DB also maintains regular dialogue with representatives of major environmental organizations to help shape the future of mobility collaboratively and sustainably.

    Networks for greater sustainability

In addition, DB is involved in various networks and committees to advance sustainability and environmental issues in business. For example, DB supports the Stiftung KlimaWirtschaft in its mission to promote cross-sector solutions for the economic transformation toward climate neutrality.

The DB Group is also a long-standing member of the corporate network econsense – Forum for Sustainable Development of German Business. Together with other companies, DB discusses current sustainability issues there and how to put them into practice.

Since 2009, Deutsche Bahn has also been a signatory and member of the United Nations Global Compact.
