What plant is that?

Giant hogweed, Japanese knotweed and ragweed – not all plants are suited to growing next to tracks. Especially not when they are hazardous, invasive plant species that pose risks to people, infrastructure or native flora and fauna. Our leaflets on hazardous plant life provide employees with guidelines for when they come into contact with plants that require careful handling due to their potential impact on health and wellbeing.

They describe the appearance of the plants and list places where they can be found, explain all the potential hazards associated with each species and describe ways in which our employees can combat them.
