Our train on two wheels

Leaving your car at home and cycling more often is good both for your health and for the environment. Our Call a Bike service offers our customers a more relaxed and eco-friendly way to get to their destination.

Cycling throughout Germany

Our Call a Bike family boasts over 13,000 bicycles. They are ready and waiting for our customers in some 80 towns and cities around Germany and at our major long-distance stations. They sometimes have different names: StadtRAD in Hamburg and Lüneburg, for example, or RegioRad in Stuttgart. But they all have the same goal: climate-friendly onward travel in the city for a healthy climate.

In Hamburg, there are scores of bike stations giving access to over 3,000 bicycles. The local fleet also includes several electrically assisted cargo bicycles.

New look for our bike fleet

To make using our bikesharing system even better for our customers, we recently overhauled our fleet. The red front basket is one new feature. It ensures that Call a Bike users always have their luggage in view. The baskets' base also has space for solar panels that provide renewable power for the new smart lock. The bikes can be unlocked just by scanning a QR code with our new app. This makes the pick-up and drop-off process even more comfortable. The additional LED display makes the bike's availability visible from a distance.
