With the bahn.business program, Deutsche Bahn offers business travelers a selection of tickets and offers for climate-friendly mobility. For example, participants travel on DB long-distance trains on electrified routes with 100% renewable power in Germany. Indirect emissions and the diesel used in local transportation are offset by atmosfair.

Companies that book their business trips via bahn.business receive an annual certificate documenting the kilometers their employees have traveled by train. An individual environmental balance sheet can also be created. It shows how many greenhouse gas emissions were avoided by taking business trips with Deutsche Bahn compared to air travel or company cars. Companies can use this information in their sustainability report.

Climate Cup 2025 - competition for business customers

Over 1,100 companies took part in the "Climate Cup 2025" competition and automatically collected "climate kilometers" on every domestic bahn.business business trip in 2025. The company that achieved the largest percentage increase compared to the previous year won the Climate Cup 2025 within the respective category and thus BahnCards Business 1st class for all employees.

A total of almost one billion "climate kilometers" were collected as part of the Climate Cup.
