TRAXX is driving climate protection

Our modern TRAXX locomotives are quieter and consume less fuel than their predecessors. This is mainly due to the diesel-electric multi-engine concept. The four diesel engines can be controlled individually and each supply the power required to the generators. These, in turn, provide the electric traction motors with power as needed. In addition, the locomotives are equipped with modern exhaust gas treatment systems in the form of diesel particulate filters and SCR (selective catalytic reduction) technology.

We use the TRAXX locomotives in our long-distance and regional transport and they are in service with the Südostbayernbahn in Bavaria, among others. With them, we lower our carbon footprint and reduce our emissions.
