Whenever we modify or renovate a depot, improving its energy profile and enhancing sustainability are always part of the job. This covers everything from insulating walls and replacing windows to installing modern heating systems.
One example: the renewal of the shed roof at DB Cargo's depot in Seddin, south-west of Berlin, has enabled the base to save a lot of energy. At DB Long Distance's depots in Berlin's Rummelsburg district and in Leipzig, we have upgraded the ventilation control system and made changes to the heating control system.
