Our toilets are economical – at least as far as their water consumption is concerned. Water is a precious resource that we conserve, thanks to on-board toilets that need little of it. High-pressure technology means that each flush requires just 750 ml of water as against the four to nine liters that a conventional lavatory sluices down the drain.
At some locations, such as the green stations in Kerpen-Horrem and Lutherstadt Wittenberg, we also capture rainwater for filling toilet cisterns and cleaning the premises.
