Special functions in train movement control allow DB drivers to save energy—for example, by coasting trains. Based on current train positions and data from DB InfraGO operations centers, information is provided automatically. These driving recommendations consider preceding and following trains and suggest optimal speeds or recommend coasting if the next signal shows "Stop". Thanks to the digital function "Binocular & Rearview", drivers always have the current operational situation ahead and behind their train in view. Already today, some railway companies provide their drivers with energy-saving driving recommendations through train movement control.
